Entrematic’s Vickie Lents Offers Expert Advice about Garage Doors in Design NJ

Oct 24, 2018 11:01am

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (OCTOBER 24, 2018)—The October-November issue of Design NJ: New Jersey’s Home & Design Magazine featured an interview with Entrematic vice president of marketing Vickie Lents that shared expert advice about garage doors with consumers.  The “Carefree House” section column highlighted the numerous benefits of steel garage doors, citing the polyurethane insulation, quiet operation and energy efficiency of the Amarr Classica® CL3000 as a perfect choice for homeowners.

“Steel is the most popular material for garage doors because of its easy maintenance, durability and quality,” Lents said in the Design NJ article. “However not all steel garage doors are created equal—there are varying thicknesses of steel, a variety of panel designs and other construction features.  Be sure that you compare manufacturing details when you’re shopping.”

Lents also gave a nod to wood garage doors, saying they “offer warmth and beauty” but reminded consumers that wood garage doors require frequent refinishing whether they’re painted or stained.  For those who like the look of real wood, Lents recommend considering the Amarr Carriage Court collection, which she said is “made of steel with composite overlay trim boards to closely replicate a wood door but with less maintenance.”

When asked how consumers can make more informed decisions about garage door styles and colors, Lents recommended the Amarr Door Designer app. “Users upload a photo of their home and select various door designs, windows and colors,” she added.  “Then consumers can send options to family and friends for additional input and final decision making.”
